BACKGROUND
PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
I began my professional career as a School Psychologist in the Huntington Beach City School District in 1973, eventually serving as a Director of Special Education in that district. During this time, I gained valuable clinical experience with learning disabilities, cognitive deficits, attention deficits, autism, and the full range of childhood psychopathology. I trained numerous School Psychology interns in collaboration with California State University in Long Beach and ran one of the largest Gifted and Talented Education Programs in Orange County at the time. I also maintained a private practice as a Licensed Educational Psychologist and a Child/Family Therapist.
After moving to the Monterey Peninsula, I developed a private practice and started working as a
School Psychologist with the Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE). At MCOE, I served as psychologist in programs for autistic, language disordered, intellectually disabled, and more severely disabled students. After retiring from MCOE, I have been engaged in private practice full-time and doing contract testing services for a few local charter schools. Private practice specialties include Psychoeducational Evaluation, Learning Disabilities, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, and guidance with respect to interventions around learning, performance, and behavior issues. My practice encompasses preschool through young adult populations and older adults with specific needs.
